Our Resort's History:

The Everett Resort, once a thriving centerpiece of Eagle River's early 20th-century resort era, has been carefully revived and transformed into a modern vacation rental retreat with unique craftsman charm. Originally founded by Fred Morey in the 1890s and sold to Edward A. and Helen Everett in 1897, the resort quickly became one of the region's most beloved destinations popular for people from Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Flordia, to visit in the Summers. Throughout the 1900’s, many families came year after year to stay here. By the mid-1920s, the Everett Resort was fully operational, hosting up to 250 guests. The resort followed the traditional "American Plan," featuring a main lodge with dining, lodging, and social spaces, surrounded by numerous detached cottages that offered idyllic lakeside views. Many of the buildings were constructed by local builder Louis Zimpelmann before 1930, with the resort landscape maintaining a natural, rustic atmosphere surrounded by pine trees, maple trees, and birches. Over time, the property expanded to include more than 30 additional cottages with many of them sold off in 1951. Today, The Lodge, once a dining room, has been reimagined to an extra large 13-bedroom cabin capable of accommodating large groups and The Sunroom, originally a office, was converted to our unique wedding venue. As the “Crown Jewel” of Eagle River, The Everett Resort remains a treasured part of the community’s history and continues to be one of the premier vacation rental destinations in the area.

Our Resort's History:

Brandy

Jadyn helps with cleaning and steps in for other things when asked. She is working on her degree, a Bachelors in Recreational Therapy at UW-LaCrosse. She is especially helpful with her nephews and loves to spend time playing lacrosse, reading, hiking, coloring/painting and spending time with her roommates. We love the positive and goofy energy she brings to the family and resort.

The family behind it all

Constines

Jadyn

The Constine family purchased and lovingly restored The Everett Resort in 2018 and has been running its operations ever since. As a family, we share a love for good food, travel, games, business, and unforgettable days on the lake. Each of us brings unique interests and skills that collectively contribute to the heart and soul of The Everett. We believe that every family member plays a vital role in making the resort a truly special place for our guests. We hope to welcome you as part of The Everett experience, helping you and your loved ones create unforgettable memories on the lake—just as we have with ours.

Juli

Jim

Jim and Juli are owners of The Everett and parents to Jeremy, Josh, and Jadyn. The 5 J's. They have been married since 1994 and love to spend time with their children and grandchildren.

Jim is the rock of The Everett. He works with guest reservations, the bar, property maintenance and is involved in every operation here at the resort. He is our go to man to ask questions and discuss ideas with. Without Jimmy, The Everett would not be revived to what it has become today.

Juli is the mama-bear and grandma here at the resort. She is the main driver in keeping our units clean and our resort feeling homey. Her expertise is in cleaning, organizing, gardening and being the best grandma on the planet. She is the heart of The Everett.

Alyssia

Layla

Jeremy and Kinley have been together since 2020. They met working up north and have their pride and joy, Layla. They are a fun loving couple who love nothing more than summers in Wisconsin. They recently moved back to Wisconsin from Chattanooga, TN.

Jeremy is our main maintenance man. He has been involved with every little to big project. He is our sweet easy-going guy with good sarcastic humor that always makes the family laugh.

Kinley is in charge of managing important aspects of the bar. She takes care of scheduling, drink specials, the bar's social media and more. In the off-season she is a School Psychologist. She has become an integral part of The Constine family and we couldn't be more thrilled they found each other. They truly are a great match.

Josh

Josh and Alyssia are high school sweethearts and met in 2013. They got married in 2018. Together they have their sons Cohen and Spencer. They also have their first baby, Brandy or "Ms. B." They love traveling with their family, trying new restaurants, and working on their start-up together.

Josh is our tech-guy. He is a software engineer and in his off-time he has been building our direct booking software for over a year. We are so proud of him for taking on this big project and can't wait to start using it when its ready. He is an incredibly involved father who's most proud of his boys. Josh is kind, confident, loyal, and intelligent.

Alyssia is our tech-girl and venue coordinator. She is in charge of all wedding operations, marketing, and this website. Additionally, she works with Josh on strategizing and designing their software he has been creating. But above all, she is Cohen, Spencer, and Brandy's mom. She is very busy with all of her responsibilities but loves to work hard with her husband and spend her off-time running, cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with their children. They recently moved back to Wisconsin from San Diego, CA.

As the first grandchildren in the family, Cohen and Spencer are everyone’s little best buddies. Ever since Josh and Alyssia welcomed Cohen in 2022, he has been showered with love—and in 2024, Spencer quickly followed, doubling the joy. Just over a year apart, these two share a special bond and already love spending time up north, exploring the property together.
