Discover why we're unique

Your wedding is the beginning of one of the most important seasons of your life—your marriage. Why limit it to just one day when you can turn it into a full weekend of unforgettable memories? Host your destination wedding at a historic resort, where romantic lakeside views, breathtaking sunsets, and serene woodland elegance set the perfect scene.

For over 125 years, families have returned to our North woods retreat, making it a cherished tradition. Gather your loved ones to be part of this legacy while soaking up the sun on our private beach, lounging on the docks, or playing lawn games. Spend your days boating on the world's largest freshwater chain, exploring scenic nature trails, shopping downtown, and ending the evenings roasting s’mores by the fire with loved ones. With lively moments at our Marina Bar and peaceful escapes into nature, our resort is a place to slow down, reconnect, create wholesome memories, and celebrate the start of your next chapter.

Highlights

We require our wedding parties to book The Lodge along with The Sunroom for the long weekend of your wedding. This 13 bedroom, 5 bath extra large cabin has plenty of space for large groups to stay and enjoy. The Lodge features a full kitchen with a large island for entertaining. A dining area, a living room, a movie room, and laundry area. It is directly across from The Sunroom and many of our wedding couple’s family and friends use it as a natural meeting space throughout their weekend.

Bridal parties often choose to get ready in private on our Marina Bar’s screened-in porch, where stunning lake views set the perfect backdrop for a relaxing morning. With our optional wedding prep mimosa package, you and your closest friends can soak in one last special moment together before you say "I do." Meanwhile, the groom’s party typically gathers in The Lodge, enjoying their own space to prepare and celebrate before the big moment.

One vendor, we especially recommend is the catering company Jessica's Cucina. We have worked with them for years and love their professionalism and amazing food.

Their menus and pricing can be found on their website. Click here to be brought to their website.

We only require our weddings to use us for The Lodge rental and our bar services. But for every other vendor, that is completely up to you. If you want to make your wedding day a little easier we do have suggestions. Our curated list of preferred vendors can be found on our Wedding Guide.

On our wedding guide we have suggestions for catering, florals, photography, bakery, and DJ. These vendors have great quality services and we highly recommend them.

faq

Do you offer babysitting services for an additional fee?

We understand parents may want some adult time during the wedding. We may be able to accomodate this depending on our availability. Please inquire ahead of time.

Am I required to rent your cabins to have my wedding at The Everett?

Is The Marina Bar open to the public on the day of my wedding?

Am I required to use your bar service?

What if it rains?

Are your accommodations always Thursday - Monday? What if we don't want to stay that long?

What is your catering policy?

We do not have in-house catering services. We strongly recommend Jessica's Cucina for your catering needs. They have worked with us for years and know our property well, however, you are welcome to use whoever you would like for catering.

You are only required to book The Lodge with The Sunroom for your wedding. The other accommodations we have are available, but they are not required to book your wedding.

Yes, The Marina Bar has a full-liquor license and we require you use our services for your wedding's needs. We have a $1000 minimum. Couples usually have a private bar in The Sunroom with our bartenders for their wedding.

Yes, since we have The Marina Bar open to the public, you can expect there to be other guests present on the property the day/night of your wedding. Bar guests are usually very excited and respectful about the couple’s wedding. If you want to rent out the bar, we do not have a rental fee but instead a higher drink minimum. These minimums change depending on the weekend of your wedding and they are on our pricing guide you can download when you inquire.

If there is inclement weather, we will hold the ceremony inside The Sunroom. Cocktail hour will be moved to The Marina Bar as we flip The Sunroom for the reception. The reception will then continue in The Sunroom. If the caterers were planning on being stationed outside, they will remain outside under the covered area of The Sunroom. Please remember, The Marina Bar is a public bar and unless it is rented out for the night by your party, the cocktail hour will be in The Marina Bar amongst the public. Our bar customers are very friendly and excited for our wedding guests and social interactions are often very positive.

We have decided for Summer 2026 and beyond we will be blocking May-June and August-October for weddings only in which check-in will be Thursday and check-out will be Monday. July, however, will be open to any reservations(not weddings exclusive). You are welcome to come and leave anytime from 4:00 PM Thursday - 9:00 AM Monday on your particular long weekend. We do not offer discounts on accommodations if you decide to forfeit a night of your long weekend stay. If you want to stay longer than Thursday-Monday, we can try to accommodate this. Weddings are still welcome to book in July but the check-in date instead will be Friday and the check-out date will be the following Friday. If you don't want to stay the entire week, that is fine but we don't offer discounts if you decide to forfeit nights of your reservation.

What level of coordination does your venue help with?

Alyssia, our wedding coordinator, helps with the basics like getting you booked, answering your questions, and being your point of contact at the resort. If you want more in depth planning like vendor coordination, decor planning, budgeting, timeline management and day of coordination, Alyssia would love to help you with planning services for an additional fee.

What do you help me with and what do I do on my own?

As part of your rental fee, we will help you with your initial reservation and your guest’s accommodations at our resort. We will be on the property the day of your event for questions and to help set up our tables, chairs, etc. If you rent chairs or tables from a rental company, they would be expected to set that up. You will be expected to communicate with all outside vendors including catering, florist, photographer, DJ, officiant, etc. They are welcome to email or call us with any questions they may have. Alyssia will make sure the couple has a general timeline scheduled and set in place about 1 month prior to the wedding. We will clean up The Sunroom after your wedding and be available for the rest of your stay at the resort. For additional in-depth planning services and vendor coordination, Alyssia can take charge for an additional fee.

Do you work with couples out of state?

Yes! We work with couples and families that are from out of state regularly. Many of our guests are from all over the country and we even have international guests that regularly visit us. We welcome everyone. Airport suggestions are on our wedding guide available for download when you inquire.

Do you welcome same sex marriages?

We welcome all marriages, including same-sex marriages.

Can I come see the property beforehand?

Yes! Our off-season is November through May. You are welcome to come visit and even stay with us during that time if you would like. We would be happy to walk you through the property and units as long as no one else is staying in them at the time.

Where can I see more FAQ?

We have a long list of FAQ on our wedding guide. Please inquire here and our wedding & pricing guide will be available for download immediately afterwards.

How can I see you available dates and pricing?

Inquire here and our wedding & pricing guides with available dates will be available for viewing/download immediately after.

Do I meet with someone prior to my event?

Alyssia, our venue coordinator, prefers to meet with couples 1 month prior to their event (usually virtually) to answer any final questions and ensure we have a general timeline of vendor arrivals and main weddings events so that the event runs smoothly.

How do I book my wedding with you?

Inquire here, then set up a call with our venue coordinator Alyssia. After we go over your questions and you are ready to book we will send you our contract and invoice. We require a non-refundable 50% payment to book. Your remaining 50% balance is due 90 days before your stay with us.
